Formatting your can be useful for many ways, as you may want to remove all the files and start fresh, or you want to prepare your USB stick to make it bootable.
This tutorial will show you how to format a USB stick in WIndows 10.

Open Windows Explorer and find the USB stick you want to format.
Right-click on the USB stick and click on ‘Format…’.
You can now select the capacity, file system, allocation size and set the name of your USB stick.
Normally you don’t have to change any options as these are default with your USB stick.

Type the name you want for your USB stick and click on ‘Start’.
A pop-up will appear that asks if you are sure you want to format your USB stick.
WARNING: If you format your USB stick you will lose alle files that are on it.
Consider making a backup befor formatting it.
The process shouldn’t take long, so when the process is complete a pop-up will show
that your USB stick is formatted.
You may click on ‘OK’ now.
