RAR files are among the most popular archive formats that helps you compress large and multiple files into one file for easy storage and transfer.
Some operating systems don’t have to ability included to read and extract RAR files like Windows 10.
Therefore we will be using a free extraction tool called WinRAR.

This tutorial will show you how to extract a RAR file with WinRAR in Windows 10.

Open your file explorer and go to the location of the RAR file you want to extract.
Right-click on the RAR file and select Extract files…
A new window will pop up giving you the ability to configure the extraction.
You can change the destination path if you want.
When you are ready you can click on ‘OK’ to begin the extraction.
Time may vary depending on the file size and computer specifications.
When the extraction is done there will be a folder with the same name (or specified) with all the files of the RAR archive.
You can now safely delete the RAR file if you don’t need it anymore.
