Sleep mode is a low power mode where the state of the machine is paused.
This low power mode can be handy if you get away from your computer for a short amount of time.
But Windows 10 chooses by default to put the sleep mode timer active and after idling for that amount of time your computer goes to sleep.
This is really frustrating when an important program is running or if you are watching a video.
This tutorial will show you how to disable sleep mode in Windows 10.
A video tutorial is available at the bottom of the post.
Move your mouse to the Windows 10 icon, right-click and select ‘settings’.
Click on ‘System’.
Choose the tab ‘Power & sleep’, click on the choicebox under ‘Sleep’, scroll down and select ‘Never’.
Sleep mode has now been disable in Windows 10.
