If you’re using a program often you’ll find it annoying in the long term to start the program manually and wait for it to launch.
You can now add a program to startup so that when you boot up your computer the program will start automatically.
This tutorial will show you how to add a program to startup in Windows 10.

Step 1
Open the file location of the program you want to add to startup.
This can be done by searching for the program, right-clicking the icon and selecting ‘Open file location’.
Or you could navigate manually.
Step 2
On the shortcut of the program, right-click and select ‘Copy’.
If you don’t have a shortcut you can navigate to the folder of the program you want to add to startup.
Then you can right-click on the ‘.exe’ file and select ‘Create shortcut’.
After that copy the shortcut.
Step 3
Now open the start menu again and search for the ‘Run’ program.
Step 4
In the run program type shell:startup and click on the ‘OK’ button.
Step 5
A new file explorer window will pop up.
Right click in the empty area and select ‘Paste’.
Step 6
The program shortcut is now in the startup folder.
If you want to remove the program from startup you can just delete the shortcut.
Step 7
To apply the changes it’s best to restart your computer.
After the reboot the program will start when windows is started.
