Adding a password to your computer is an essential security step and can help prevent other from accessing your computer.

This tutorial will show you how to add a password to your local user account.
It is recommended to use a strong password wich may have:
– A minimum of 8 characters
– Upper or lower case letters (not all)
– Other characters like $ or µ.

Move your mouse to the Windows 10 icon, right-click and select ‘Settings’.
Click on ‘Accounts’.
Choose the tab ‘Sign-in options’ and click on the ‘Add’ button.
Input your new password two times and type a password hint.
Click on ‘Next’.
Click on the button ‘Finish’.
A password has now been added to the local user account of your computer.
